Hello Everyone!

Sunday, November 23rd at 7pm and 9pm I'll be performing with my chamber ensemble, Till by Turning and also my duo, Christy & Emily. Till by Turning will be joined by the amazing Judith Berkson, voice and Dan Peck, tuba. Christy & Emily will be joined by the super-talented Amy Cimini, viola. Both shows are in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Please come out if you can!

The fourth installment of "Quiet Noise," a monthly experimental music series at Sound Fix features Till by Turning and Matthew Welch and Jeremiah Cymerman.

Till by Turning, a chamber group now celebrating it's fifth year of concerts and commissions, will present Katherine Young's new work for wurlitzer and tuba, Anton Webern's Eight Early Songs, improvisations by members of the ensemble and arrangements of Emily Manzo's songs. The group will be joined by Dan Peck (tuba), Judith Berkson (mezzo-soprano) and Christine Edwards (guitar).

Matthew Welch is a composer/performer who has released records on Tzadik and Leo and leads his own ensemble, Blarvuster. Jeremiah Cymerman is a clarinetist who has released records on Tzadik and Solponticello and can often be found playing solo concerts. Their duo project, which has a forthcoming 12" release on Thor's Rubber Hammer, features quick changes, tight improvisations and a discerning use of extended techniques.

Katie Eastburn
The voice of Young People combines searing heartbreak and soaring melodies in a set of stripped-down cabaret-soul and electro jams.

I'm in You
An afro-punk noise-disco juggernaut invoking freaked-out rhythmic contortion as the only response to apocalyptic global dread.

Christy & Emily
Hushed psychedelic folk songs with giddy excursions into sound experiments and wall-of-sound guitar feedback.
